LibreOffice was developed to be a productivity suite that is compatible with other major office suites, available on a variety of platforms. It is free software and therefore free to download, use and distribute.
LibreOffice Writer
LibreOffice Writer lets you design and produce text documents that can include graphics, charts or graphics. You can then save the documents in a variety of formats, including standardized format OpenDocument (ODF), Microsoft Word format. Doc, or HTML. And you can easily export your document to Portable Document Format (PDF).
Writing
Writer lets you create LibreOffice two basic documents such as memos, faxes, letters, resumes and merge documents, and long, complex documents or multi-part, with bibliographies, reference tables and clues.
LibreOffice Writer also includes useful features such as spell checker, a thesaurus, AutoCorrect and hyphenation as well as a variety of models for virtually all uses. You can also create your own templates using wizards.
Design and structure
LibreOffice offers a wide variety of options to design documents. Use the Styles and Formatting window to create, assign and modify styles for paragraphs, individual characters, frames and pages. In addition, the browser allows you to quickly jump to the inside of your documents, you can view your document in a general view, and keeps track of objects that you inserted in your document.
You can also create different indexes and tables in text documents. You can define the structure and appearance of the indexes and tables according to your individual needs. Hyperlinks and bookmarks directly allow you to jump directly to articles in the text.
PAO with LibreOffice Writer
LibreOffice Writer contains many desktop publishing and drawing tools to help you create professional-style documents such as brochures, newsletters and invitations. You can format your documents with layout multi-column text frames, graphics, tables and other objects.
Calculations
Text documents in LibreOffice have an integrated calculation function that helps you execute sophisticated calculations or logical links. You can easily create a table in a text document in order to perform calculations.
Creating Drawings
The drawing tool LibreOffice Writer lets you create drawings, graphics, legends, and other types of drawings directly into text documents.
Inserting images
You can insert images of different formats into a text document, including graphics with a JPG or GIF. In addition, the gallery offers a collection of graphic art and Gallery Fontwork creates amazing effects of police.
Flexible application interface
The program interface is designed so that you can configure it according to your preferences, including icons and menu customization. You can place the windows of different programs, such as the Styles and Formatting window or a browser that floating windows anywhere on the screen. You can also dock some windows on the side of the workspace.
Drag & Drop
Drag and drop allows you to work quickly and efficiently with text documents in LibreOffice. For example, you can drag and drop objects such as graphs of the gallery, from one place to another within the same document or between open documents LibreOffice.

LibreOffice Math
LibreOffice Math provides numerous operators, functions and formatting assistants help you create formulas. These are all listed in a selection window in which you can click on the required item with the mouse to insert the object in your work.
Creating a formula
As with tables and images, formulas are created as objects in a document. Inserting a formula into a document automatically start LibreOffice Math. You can create, edit and format the formula using a wide selection of predefined symbols and functions.
Type a formula directly
If you are familiar with the language of mathematics LibreOffice, you can type a formula directly into the document. For example, type this formula in a text document: "a 2 + b = c sup 2 sup 2". Then select it and choose Insert - Object - Formula. The text will be converted into a formatted form.
Creating a formula in the command window
Use the Math LibreOffice Orders window to enter and edit formulas. As you make entries in the command window, you will see results in the paper. To maintain an overview during the creation of long and complicated formulas, use the slider bar on the Formula Tools. When this feature is enabled, the cursor in the command window is also displayed in the text.
Individual symbols
You can create your own symbols and characters on imports from other fonts. You can add new symbols in the catalog of basic mathematical symbols LibreOffice, or create your own special catalogs. Many special characters are also available.
Formulas in context
To make it easier to work with formulas, use the context menus, which can be called with a right click of the mouse. This applies especially to the command window. This menu contains all commands that are found in Formula Elements of the window, as well as operators, and so on, which can be inserted in your formula by mouse click, without having to enter them in the window of commands.
LibreOffice Impress
LibreOffice Impress allows you to create professional slideshows that can include charts, drawing objects, text, multimedia and a variety of other articles. If you want you can even import and edit Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
For slide shows on the screen, transitions, slide animation, and multimedia are some techniques you can use to make your presentation more exciting.

Multiple views or pages are available when you design a slide show. For example, the slide sorter view displays an overview of your slides as thumbnails, while the document page contains both the blade and the text you want to distribute to the audience.
LibreOffice Impress also allows you to repeat the timing of your slide show.

Draw LibreOffice

LibreOffice Draw creates vector graphics using lines and curves defined by mathematical vectors. Vectors describe lines, ellipses and polygons according to their geometry.

LibreOffice Chart
Charts allow you to present the data so it is easy to visualize. You can create a chart from data sources in a Calc spreadsheet or Writer of a table. When the chart is embedded in the same document as the data, it remains linked to the data, so that the table will automatically update when you change the data source.

Choose from a variety of 3D graphics and 2D graphics such as bar charts, curves, stock charts. You can change the chart types in a few mouse clicks.

Database functions
Use spreadsheets to organize, store and filter your data. LibreOffice Calc allows you to drag and drop database tables, or you can use a spreadsheet as a data source to create form letters in LibreOffice Writer.
