About Solid Iris Technologies
We are a group of people, passion for computer graphics, research and development. Our course was launched in 2005 with our freeware Kerkythea rendering and at some point in early 2008, we decided to jump on the wagon trade, the development of Thea Render, a solution of high-quality rendering. The publishing firm Iris Technologies was founded in 2010 in Greece and for this reason has partnered with other passionate developers to create plugins modeling
About Thea Render
At first there were only the renderers approximate global illumination which is solved by means of inversion and interpolation. With the machines become more powerful, unbiased renderers finally emerged in the commercial world. Unbiased rendering generally takes longer to finish because it really has to calculate all the amounts of transfer of lighting with the advantage of more accurate results. Unbiased generally made a few configuration settings making it easier to adjust, but still biased rendering the upper hand when it comes to animations.
Thea Render is the first commercial solution that contains both the state of the art engines unbiased and impartial. This means that the advantages of both types are present in a unified framework. All renderers use the same materials and lights without any hidden obstacle between the use of one or the other. No need to convert materials or parameters of an unbiased rendering a biased one (and vice versa) because there is a job that one type can do better.
